Medicare.gov has created a very useful tool for finding healthcare services near you. It is known as Care Compare, and it is completely free. The tool is accessible on smartphones and tablets in addition to computers, and, according to Medicare.gov, it can help you find and contact doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, hospice and home health agencies, dialysis facilities, rehabilitation centers, and even long-term care hospitals. As is suggested in its name, Care Compare can also compare quality and star ratings to help you make the best choice possible. Remember, if you are on a Medicare Advantage plan that is primary to Medicare, you will want to be sure to check the network of your plan to make sure the results you find are relevant.
